I was born and raised in the beautiful Wenatchee Valley of Washington state. I have always enjoyed making things with my own hands. I would alter and embellish store bought items to suit my tastes and was encouraged to sew my own clothes by my mother and grandmother, who taught me many crafts at a young age.
If possible, I would spend all my time, visualizing, planning and creating items to give as gifts or use myself. It really doesn't matter which type of craft I do (and I love to try new things all the time) there just has to be something in my hands.
In later years I came to the realization that I have to create to be complete. It's what makes me, me. I am thankful for my God given talents and my husband, who amongst the hoards of fabric, trims, threads and very expensive sewing and embroidery machines, continues to support and encourage me. In spite of the fact he gave up his TV room to house all my stuff.
